Our annual First Communion Parent Child Retreat will be held Sunday, March 14, from 9am - 3pm in the Large Hall. Sr. Kathleen Burns, SND, will be our retreat leader. Rehearsal for First Communion masses will be included in the day. Watch for information and permission forms to be send home in February.
St. Cornelius is hosting the Virtus child sexual abuse prevention workshop/training session Sunday, January 24, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Small Hall. All adults who work with children of the school/parish and have not yet taken this awareness training are required to do so as mandated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Parents, lectors, choir members, ushers, and Eucharistic ministers are invited and encouraged to attend. Anyone wishing to attend must register online at: virtusonline.org. We will also be hosting the Virtus re-certification workshop, “Keeping the Promise Alive,” Monday, evening, January 25, 7:00pm – 8:30pm. This workshop recertifies anyone who completed the three hour Virtus training before 2006 and has not recertified through the Virtus website.
