•Video Picture Collection – See handout below Agenda
It’s time to get started on the eighth-grade video that will be shown at the graduation dinner. The video commemorates the lives of our kids with music, photographs, and video clips. In the past, the video has generally had six sections: baby/infant pictures, kindergarten through 5th grade, religion, sports, talent, and junior high (6th, 7th, and 8th).
This year, we are requesting that all photographs, to the degree possible, be submitted in a digital format by December 1st. Here is what we need: •Three (3) photographs for each section.
•For photos taken prior to the wide use of digital cameras, please have the photographs scanned at the highest resolution possible (300 dpi or higher). The file can be either JPEG (typical) or TIFF.
•Additional group/buddy shots are always needed.
Please send all you got but please note what year the photograph was taken so that it can be placed in the correct section of the video.
•Video clips work great. If you have good video clips please contact me and we will arrange a time to capture the video on the computer.
•Send all files to SCPICS@verizon.net. Please note in the email what section each photograph is for. Also, please note any photographs that are the extra group shots (beyond the three photographs for each section).
•For the religion section, First Holy Communion photographs and Saints Day photographs work well.
If you have video of class masses, please let us know.
If you do not have access to a scanner, please contact us and we’ll make arrangements. Please contact us by early November if you need us to scan any photographs.
IMPORTANT: Embarrassing/funny photographs may be terrible for political careers but they work great in the video.
Just a reminder that we will be having our first 8th grade parent meeting of the year on Monday October 5th at 7 pm in the 8th grade classroom. The meeting should last between an hour and an hour and a half. We would really appreciate having every family represented to review and discuss activities, and events that we will be participating in this year. It might be helpful to bring your calendar to schedule committee meetings and fundraising activities.
We look forward to working with all of you this year!
