CLASS OF 2010 REMINDER NOTICE
FIESTA – Fiesta, the school’s first big event, is rapidly approaching and will be held September 25 - 27. Each class prepares a basket to be raffled off Fiesta weekend. The eighth grade basket’s theme will be “A Day at the Beach”. We would like your help in collecting donations of (beach towels, lotions, cooler, beach volleyball, football, paddle ball, Frisbee, Boogie Board, surfboard, EZ up, umbrella, gift cards etc.) for our basket. We appreciate any donations you can provide. Last year the class baskets raised a total of over $3800. Wow! What a great contribution our individual classes made to St. Cornelius School!
In preparation for Fiesta, the school is also having a soda/water drive and has asked that 8th grade students each contribute one case of bottled water. Please send the water to class with your child by Monday, September 21st.
1st Eighth Grade Parent Meeting will be scheduled in early October after Fiesta. As soon as the date is set you will be notified.
ONE-TIME DONATION – Throughout the year, the class will provide a donation for other fundraisers, including the Golf Tournament and the Dinner Dance. We also give Christmas and year-end gifts to the teachers and an assigned staff member. To help fund these activities, we would like to ask for a one-time donation of $25.00. Please send your donation in an envelope marked “Eighth Grade Room Moms”. You can send it in with your child or drop it by the school office. If you are making your donation by check, please make it payable to St. Cornelius School. We would appreciate your one-time and Fiesta donations by Friday, September 18th.
